Nofollow and Dofollow links what is the difference.

The working of the web and the search engines ranking is deeply influenced by the nofollow and dofollow links. Nofollow and Dofollow are the values which are given to the rel attribute of the HTML to give instructions to the search engines whether the given link should be taken into consideration while influencing the page rank of the target link. All major search engines Google, yahoo, bing closely follows it. Its the key factor which influences the ranking in the search engines and how the search engine treats your site or blog. Plenty of dofollow links linking to your site makes it to climb in the page rank. High page rank makes your site contents indexed more often thus giving some unfair advantage with those with lower page ranks. Which means you climb in the search engine ranks faster than others.  .

Nofollow attribute when assigned to the rel attribute of the HTML instructs that this link should not influence the page rank of the target. Thereby keeping the search engine results free from spam.

Nofollow links structure would look like this
<a href="http://www.earningssimplied.com" rel="nofollow">Make more money</a>
Attribute must be used.

Dofollow attribute when assigned in the rel attribute of HTML impacts the search engine rankings and page rank positively. The site which is the target gets some share of the page rank from the site that links to it and the page rank improves. So make sure you closely follow those high ranking sites with dofollow and NO nofollow attributes.

Dofollow links structure would look like this
<a href="www.earningssimplified.com">Simple ways to get more</a>
No need to use the attribute.

Building quality back links to your blog.

By Vichaya Kiatying-Angsulee
Back links to a blog is essential when it comes to ranking well in the search engines. Tons of links to your blog from various sites points that your blog is popular and it boosts your search engine rankings to the next level. Its not always easy to get to the top of the search engines when you are starting out new and especially in a competitive niche.

Tons of hard work is needed to rank well in the search engines. Why I am focusing on search engines because people who happens to come to your site/blog through search engines tends to acknowledge your site better than those who come through other links because they are already searching for the stuff they want and most probably they tend to browse more. If they find the content useful and informative. So make sure every content is top notch and well structured.

Writing guest post in other blogs of the same niche, submitting articles to various directories, commenting on do-follow blogs, contributing in forums can all prove helpful in increasing the number of back links to your blog. Higher the Google Page Rank(which is a number which indicates the popularity of the blog/site) for the site the better is your site going to be ranked. Links from higher PR sites can positively impact your search engine ranking.

Social networking sites like Facebook, twitter are not useful as all the links have no-follow attribute but they can used to drive traffic to your blog. Link exchange between bloggers is a popular way to get back link fast here the two bloggers link to each other under some agreement between them. Comment which methods do you use to get back links to your blog, I would like to know about it.

What are no-follow links and do-follow links? Explained in the next post.

How Interlinking post boosts your blog traffic.

Interlinking is how to link to contents within your blog. Suppose you are writing a post on social networking and you have earlier written about using them as a traffic generator to your blog. You can link the article with the new article. Interlinking post in your blog can boost your traffic exponentially and it also drives traffic to your older post. Not only this interlinking relevant post reduces the bounce rate of your blog.

Bounce rate increases when a number of visitors left the site just after viewing a single page. Interlinking makes sure that your visitors are engaged with tons of relevant post which you have already published. Its a win for both you get more traffic and the visitor gets more information related to the topic. Make sure you link only to relevant articles because you would not like to disappoint the reader.

Interlinking can also help to get more traffic to the post which you have earlier wrote in the same topic. Thereby saving time to be spent on explaining the same topic again. The reader gets tons of relevant contents to read and if they like it who knows they might even turn to a loyal fan of your blog.

Never resist in linking to other useful contents, your goal is to help the visitor get the most benefit out of the post whichever they land. Providing relevant links would boost your credibility and makes them to form an opinion regarding you that you have spent some time in research before publishing the post. Always make it a point to link to your older entries regarding the same topic every time you publish a new post in your blog. This indirectly gives an impression to the visitor that the blog has got everything they need to know and they do not need to search elsewhere. Social networks how you can make use of it to drive tons of traffic to your blog.

Finding the best webhost

The next thing you need is a web host to host your domain name. Finding a web host is always a difficult task. I would like to recommend Hostgator many prominent bloggers use them and the services they offer is also pretty cheap. With plans starting @ just 3.96$ per month with unlimited bandwidth and diskspace. Use the coupon code eshostgator to avail a flat 25% off on your order or use earningssimplified to avail $9.94 off on your order.

All tutorials on how to set up your domain name and everything can be easily found in the tutorials section of hostgator.

If you are looking for a free one I would like to recommend blogger for hosting your blogs for free. You can use a free domain name with .blogspot in it or use a domain name. This blog is hosted for free at blogger not only this blog many prominent blogs like the twitter blog is also hosted for free at blogger if you want for a free web host you can go for blogger. Connecting your domain name to blogger is simple and if you want you can too register the domain name at blogger too. Wordpress is more powerful than blogger if you can just go for it.

Let me know your opinions in the comments below. Next post will be on how to write killer contents for your newly setup blog.

Select and register a domain name.

A Domain name is the most important thing in the blogging world. It is the unique address which points to your site. It looks like www.example.com where example can be any name which you would like to use and .com is the most commonly used TLD. There are many TLDs like .net, .org, .co stick with the .com as its the most commonly used one and many people has the habit of using it.

Avoid using free subdomains like example.webs.com, example.weebly.com instead of a domain name like example.com. It degrades your brand and also many problems would be faced later when you migrate from the subdomain to a domain name later. Also some popular ad agencies do not accept subdomains. Domain names are really cheap it only cost 10$ a year which is less than a dollar per month.

Selecting a domain name can prove to be a difficult task as most of the domain names have already been used and many more are registered everyday make sure you pick one that closely narrates to your blog and make sure there is no dashes between the names because you might not want your visitors landing to others blog just because of it. Numbers in domain names is not recommended but in some unavoidable cases you can still use it.

Visit to one of the domain registrar websites like Godaddy, Bigrock(Coupon Code earningssimplied.com to avail some amazing discounts)  and find out whether the name is available or not. If is not available find one that closely matches the name that you are trying to use. If you find one register as quickly as you can who knows the name that was available yesterday can be gone today. Registering an already registered domain is not cheap but you can do it if you badly need it. There are many sites where you can backorder domain names at some reasonable prices.

All useful suggestions are warmly welcomed. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Next post would be on finding a web host to host your domain name.

Considerations to be made on selecting a niche.

Every blog around the web has its own niche or topic. Selecting the right niche is one of the most difficult task every newbie blogger faces. There is plenty of niches to talk about and most of them are doing well. Blogging, health, finance, dating, relationships, make money online, personality development, sports, gardening, travel and the list goes on there is a blog on almost every topic all you need to do is analyse it and find out which one suits you well.

Starting a new niche can be quite profitable but I would not recommend because it might be a niche that someone might have tried before and have left because there is nothing there. So find a topic that there is some competition and that is higher in the pole. Many people are doing it only points that there is lots of money out there. If you do well and work hard you can be among them to reaping the benefits.

So lets start with finding a niche for you. Note down the stuffs you know well whether it may be simple or complex. Just do an online search and find out how many people are doing it. If there is none I would not recommend to go out there and taste the waters because you are new and you have no idea at all and if there is none out there doing it. It only points to the fact that none is willing to pay for it. Its no time to start something fresh you can always do it later when you have people behind your backs willing to pay attention to every new ventures you take up. I am not a pro blogger I am only narrating the experiences which I have learnt from my venture online for almost two years its not always easy while starting out one bad link can spoil everything. Be consistent while publishing post when you are starting out a new blog this the key factor that differentiates you from other dead blog. If you provide new and fresh contents regularly people would love to revisit your blog everyday expecting something.

Just be yourself narrate your struggles what you have faced and what you have gone through. This will help you get attention from bloggers just like you and they will reach out to you. Never hesist in responding to them. The blogsphere is a huge community where you grow together being passive will never contribute to your success.

So in what niche are you blogging or planning to blog. Let me know in the comments below. In the next post I will share the steps on choosing and registering a domain name.
