Using images not only benefits in SEO but it also helps in making the article look a lot better. Post with images are more often likely to be read than those without images.

Do not focus too much in search engine optimization. Just focus in writing relevant articles for the community. People first Google later if you have read from some of the popular bloggers around the web.
